Summer Camps
The Town of Somers, the Recreation Department and the staff of all our summer camps would like to thank you for attending our camps this summer. We hope you had fun! You have helped to make this one of our most successful and enjoyable seasons ever... we look forward to seeing you again next summer!
Summer Camp 2009 Info:
With the current economy and high cost of fuel, why bring your child to an out of town camp, when we offer one for every interest right here in town. Our day and sports camps are an affordable alternative to day care and fun for all ages! Registration for ALL camps is on a first-come, first-served basis. Registration begins on April 23. You may pick up a registration form at the Recreation Office or download one online before the first registration night, but no registrations will be accepted until April 23rd. Out of town applicants will be able to register starting May 1. Special Registration dates @ the Kibbe Fuller Community Center:
Thursday, April 23rd 4 – 7pm
Saturday, April 25th 12 noon – 3pm
Thursday, April 30th 4 – 7 pm
Saturday, May 2nd 9 – 12pm
Summer Day Camp
8 consecutive weeks beginning June 29 running through August 21.
Held at Field Road Park Recreation facility
Check in: 8:30am Pick up: 2:30pm After-care until 4:30pm
Somers residents: $75/camper ~ $55 for each additional sibling
Out of Town: $75/camper + $15 out of town fee ~ $55 each additional sibling + $15
Small Fry Camp
5 Consecutive weeks through August 7.
Held at Somers Elementary School Gymnasium
9am - 12noon
Somers residents: $55/camper Out of town: $65/camper
Camp Director: Ginny Tabb
Capacity: 40 campers/week
Please register for all summer camps in advance at the Recreation office or by mail at
least 1 week prior to the beginning of each camp week.
