The Wetlands Agent aids the Conservation Commission in the administration of the Inland Wetlands and Watercourses Regulations of the Town of Somers. In addition, the Agent serves in an advisory role to other land-use personnel on natural resource issues. Under the Inland Wetland and Watercourses Regulations of the Town of Somers, the Conservation Commission reviews only those activities that are likely to alter or affect wetlands and watercourses. The Wetland Enforcement Agent may approve minor activities that are close to wetlands and watercourses but are not expected to impact any resources.
