We will be limiting access to Town Hall except by appointment for those essential services that require face to face contact.  A lot of Town business can be done from a distance; we have drop boxes in front of Town Hall, as well as mail-in and on-line options. If business can be handled without an in-person visit to Town Hall buildings, we recommend that these alternative be utilized. We recognize that people need to plan ahead but safety is our primary concern.  for Staff Directory click here Staffing Directory   COVID-19 Numbers as of 1/7/2021 as it relates to the Town of Somers: Total number of residential cases 335, number of new cases 40. Calling all volunteers!!

We have many commissions in Somers that effectively assist in the efficient running of government. These Commissions are vitally important to the success of our town with many vacancies currently impacting our productivity

We are looking for volunteers to serve in the following commissions:

  • Building Code Board of Appeals
  • Conservation
  • Cultural Commission
  • Economic Development
  • Emergency Preparedness Advisory
  • Housing Authority
