“The Special Project Committee has been established to receive direction from, and report to, the Board of Selectmen regarding capital expenditure needs for public buildings or capital improvement projects in the Town of Somers.
As outlined in Chapter 62 of the Town Charter, the Committee will consist of eight members representing the Board of Selectmen, Board of Finance, Board of Education, Library Board, CFO, Director of Public Works, and two Board of Selectmen appointees (one skilled in building/construction and one at-large).
Initial appointment terms vary from one to three years, after which all members will serve two‑year terms.”
