The Somers Board of Selectmen held a Public Hearing on Thursday, March 17, 2022 at 5:45 PM in the in the Town Hall Auditorium, 600 Main Street, Somers, to receive public comments on the following:
- Ordinance for Appointment of Youth Services Bureau Advisory Board and Term: This ordinance will be compromised of representatives who are committed to serving the youth of Somers and assist the Town in promoting and strengthening their capabilities to serve Somers youth and families. Public Informational Meeting to Discuss the Retail Sales and Growing of Recreational Cannabis
The Board of Selectmen will be holding a Public Informational Meeting on March 17, 2022 at 7:00pm to Discuss the Retail Sales and Growing of Recreational Cannabis and to Take Public Comments.
Adult use of recreation marijuana for those 21 and older became legal on July 1, 2021 in Connecticut. The law allows towns to amend zoning regulations or local ordinances to ban recreational marijuana retail establishment and growers.
