The Commission sponsors varied and interesting events throughout the year. It receives a small stipend from the town, other funds are raised independently and by receiving donations from the people in town.The Cultural Commission was established in 1993. Its mission is to promote cultural programs and activities in Somers.
Most events sponsored by the Cultural Commission are free but donations are always welcome. Piedmont Hall is the focal point of our events and meetings.

Upcoming Events
Due to COVID-19 and State of Connecticut, the following guidelines will be followed at all concerts: Masks to be worn; maximum grouping of 5 individuals; social distancing of 6′; no food served; no alcohol allowed; playground closed; max attendees will be 50 (or adjusted by State); bring folding chairs and insect repellent
Concerts will be outdoors on the Green at the Gazebo at 19 Battle Street. The 2020 Fall Concert Series will be held on Saturday Afternoons from 1:00 pm – 3:00 pm
