The Somers Board of Finance is currently accepting applications from residents interested in serving on the Town’s Board of Finance. The position is a temporary replacement vacancy made available due to the recent passing of a Board member. The term for this position is one year at which time a Town election will determine the permanent replacement. Due to State and Town charter restrictions the applicant must be 1) a registered resident voter; 2) a taxpayer of the town; 3) hold no salaried Town office.
Finalists will be scheduled for an in-person interview with the selection committee to be held during the week of August 22, 2022. The final selection will be announced at a Meeting of the Board in September, 2022.
