- Discussion and possible action on the Revision to Ordinance #179-13 Authorization: Proposed revision seeks to amend the ordinance by increasing the threshold to allow semi-annual tax payments from $250 to $500.
- Accept resignation of School Resource Officer Craig Jones with an effective date of June 12, 2024.
- Fire Department Staffing Request. Request to transition part time Firefighter/EMT Clint Thomas to full-time status with a start date of May 23, 2024. Gary Schiessl
- Adoption of Board of Finance Regulation Under Section 6-8 (c), (d) and (e). Proposed regulation for the Board of Education and Board of Selectmen to provide monthly actual fund expenditures year to date, by budget category, and a listing of all fund transfers within and between budget categories. Brian Wissinger
- Discussion and possible action on revision of Vendors Hawkers Ordinance in section 196-2 adding the following language “Food vendors, including food trucks, serving or selling food from private property where the property has a permit from the Somers Zoning Commission allowing such service or sales are also exempt from the terms of this Ordinance.” And to set a Public Hearing date.
- Approval of Minutes of April 25, Special Meeting of the Board of Selectmen.
The Board of Selectmen waives the reading of the minutes of the Special Meeting from April 25, 2024, and that minutes of said meeting be approved.

BOARD OF SELECTMEN
The Somers Board of Selectmen will hold a Public Hearing on Wednesday, May 8, 2024, at 5:30 PM in the Somers Town Hall Board of Selectmen Conference Room, 600 Main Street, Somers, CT to receive public comments on the following:
- Revision to Ordinance #179-13 Authorization: Proposed revision seeks to amend the ordinance by increasing the threshold to allow semi-annual tax payments from $250 to $500.
Said proposed ordinance is on file in the Town Clerk Office of the Town of Somers, Somers Town Hall. At this hearing, interested persons may be heard and written communications received.

- Notification for discussion in July: Newer concept presented to the state re: disposal of remains by liquifying then drying for disbursement. Discussion is at the state Scattering of such remains may become legal. Should we become proactive or reactive?
