Mountain Road Reconstruction Project update:

August 14, 2017 – Mountain Road will be closed between Broadway Road and Haas Road starting Monday, August 14th.  Cross Culverts #3 and #4 will be worked on during this road closure period.

August 3, 2017 – Mountain Road, at the intersection of Root Road and Eagle Brook Drive, is scheduled to be paved on August 10th, weather permitting.  There will be road closures during the project to install new Gillettes Brook culverts.  The first culvert and road closure will be starting just south of Broadway Road, please follow the detour signs.

Town of Somers Invitation to Bid

The Town of Somers is currently seeking bids for cleaning services of town buildings.

The proposal package may be obtained here: Cleaning Bid
Proposals must be addressed to Todd Rolland, Director of Public Works, Town of Somers, 600 Main
Street, PO Box 308, Somers, Connecticut 06071. Proposals will be accepted at the postal address
through 5:00 pm on August 9, 2017.
The Town of Somers, reserves the right to reject any and all proposals, negotiate with one or more
firms, or modify any scope of work at our sole discretion. This contract may be awarded to one or more
of the firms. The “Contract Award” date in section 2. Titled Key Event Dates is the date the Proposal is anticipated to be awarded. It is not a date certain. The lowest priced proposal is NOT the sole
determining factor when awarding this contract. Incomplete proposals will be rejected. The term of the
contract will be 3 years starting on September 30, 2017.
