Public Informational Meeting to Discuss the Retail Sales and Growing of Recreational Cannabis

The Board of Selectmen will be holding a Public Informational Meeting on March 17, 2022 at 7:00pm to Discuss the Retail Sales and Growing of Recreational Cannabis and to Take Public Comments.

Adult use of recreation marijuana for those 21 and older became legal on July 1, 2021 in Connecticut. The law allows towns to amend zoning regulations or local ordinances to ban recreational marijuana retail establishment and growers.

BOILER REPLACEMENT SOMERS HIGH SCHOOL 

The Town of Somers will be accepting proposals from qualified individuals or firms to provide a turnkey replacement of two existing hot water heating boilers, pumps, water heaters, and associated appurtenances at the Somers High School in Somers, CT. Interested individuals and firms should obtain the complete RFP and related information from the files listed below.

Annual Storm Water Report Notice

The Town of Somers has prepared a draft Annual Report for the calendar year 2021 per the Connecticut Department of Energy and Environmental Protection General Permit for the Discharge of Stormwater from Small Municipal Separate Storm Sewer Systems effective July 1, 2017. The Annual Report will be available for public review at the following address on the Town’s website https://www.somersct.gov/town-departments/public-works-department/stormwater/ and in the Town Clerks Office at 600 Main Street during regular business hours starting February 15, 2018. Comments on the draft annual report can be submitted to Todd Rolland, Director of Public Works, 93 Egypt Road, Somers, CT 06071, (860)763-8238, [email protected] until March 15, 2022.
