FREE DAV Veterans Information Seminar- Thur., Sept. 21
Don’t Miss Out!
Disabled American Veterans (DAV) & Somers Dept. of Veterans Affairs
Offer FREE DAV Information Seminar
Thursday, Sept. 21, 2023
There is a good reason why the Department of Veterans Affairs in Somers is inviting all veterans and their family members to attend this DAV Information Seminar.
Why? So many injured veterans feel confused about what benefits and services they have earned for their military service. There’s so much to know…and so many changes from one year to the next.
DAV Information Seminars are held to educate veterans and their families on specific veterans’ benefits and services. These free seminars are run by DAVs highly trained National Service Officers (NSOs) and are held around the country. DAV is the recognized leader in providing the best counseling and claim filing assistance available to veterans and their families. Their NSOs are experts on veterans’ benefits, educated in the full range of benefits for military veterans, retirees, and their families. They will strengthen your knowledge and understanding of the benefits and services you’ve earned.
This DAV Information Seminar features experienced DAV National Service Officer and Army veteran, Miguel Cintron. Mr. Cintron will be educating our local veterans and family members about their earned benefits and sharing information regarding compensation and pension claims from 9 AM to 12 PM and then providing them with free, professional claims assistance from 1:00 – 3:00 PM (first come, first served).
The Seminar details are as follows:
Date: Thursday, September 21, 2023
Time: 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM (9:00 AM to 12:00 PM – DAV Information Seminar, 12:00 to 1:00 PM – lunch break, 1:00 to 3:00 PM – VA Claims Work)
Where: Somers Town Hall – Auditorium, 600 Main St., Somers, CT (ADA Accessible).
Seminar Instructor: Miguel Cintron, Army Veteran & DAV NSO (Newington)
What to Bring: DD-214 or VA Claim Number (if applicable) & your SSN
Capacity: Seating is limited & on a first come, first served basis.
**PLEASE SIGN THE ATTENDANCE SHEET UPON ARRIVAL AND PRESERVE YOUR SPOT IN LINE FOR ASSISTANCE WITH CLAIMS.
All veterans and family members are welcome to attend. You need NOT be a member of DAV to take advantage of these no-cost services. If you cannot attend the seminar and need assistance with a VA claim, visit benefitsquestions.org to contact your local DAV Service Office.
If you would like to learn more about your many military benefits, please schedule an appointment with the Dept. of Veterans Affairs, Somers, CT.
