Part Time Starting Salary – $24.00 – $26.00 per hour. The Town of Somers is currently accepting applications from POSTC certified Police Officers or certified State Troopers who are interested in a comparative compliance/lateral transfer for the position of Somers Police Officer. The Town of Somers currently has two openings a full time and part time position. Candidates must be available to work nights and weekends. Candidates will be required to successfully complete a written examination, oral interview, and background investigation. Successful candidates will then undergo polygraph, psychological, drug screening and physical examinations. The successful applicant must be able to pass a physical ability assessment test (Cooper Standards) prior to starting.
