Transfer Station Permits Available
The new Fiscal Year Transfer Station Permits are available for purchase. The fee is $35.00 per permit valid for one-year. A fillable and printable application can be obtained from the following link:
Fire Training Area Hydrant Request for Proposal
The Town of Somers is seeking a Request for Proposal from qualified companies to install a water line and hydrant in the Fire Training area next to the Fire Department located at 400 Main Street.

Brownfields Clean-up Grant for Somersville Mill Property
The Town of Somers has received a $200,000 U.S. EPA Brownfields Cleanup Grant through the Capitol Regions Council of Governments to conduct additional remediation at the former Somersville Mill property located at 40 Maple Street in Somers. Details of previous site investigations are summarized in an Analysis Report which can be viewed in the Town Clerks office.
A community meeting to discuss the project and solicit comments on the Analysis of Brownfields Clean-Up Report will be held on May 13, 2021 as part of the Planning Commission meeting starting at 7:00 PM at the Somers Town Hall.
NOTICE: Zoning Commission meeting cancelled
The Somers Zoning Commission regular meeting and public hearing scheduled for Monday, April 5, 2021 has been cancelled. The public hearing is postponed to Monday, April 19, 2021 at 6:30pm.
