Holiday Storm Event
Eversource is tracking and preparing for a significant storm this week that unfortunately coincides with the beginning of the holiday weekend, arriving across all of New England Thursday night, Friday and into early Saturday. Damaging gusts as high as 50-60 mph are forecast in coastal areas and higher elevations, along with heavy rain. High winds may be sustained throughout the storm, which may topple trees and power lines and cause outages – damage that can take several days to repair. We’re prepared and want you to be ready, too.
What we’re doing
· We’re bringing in extra crews to help. Crews will be pre-staged to respond quickly to areas of expected damage.
· We’re also moving extra utility poles, wire, transformers and other equipment into position to ensure we’re ready to quickly and safely make repairs.
· We’re reaching out to you, our customers, as well as community leaders, first responders and others, to share important preparedness information.
What you can do
· Download the free Eversource mobile app for Apple or Android devices to view and report outages.
· Review storm preparation and safety information, view and report outages, and see how we restore power at Eversource.com.
· You can also report your outage by phone at 888-783-6617
