We will be limiting access to Town Hall except by appointment for those essential services that require face to face contact.  A lot of Town business can be done from a distance; we have drop boxes in front of Town Hall, as well as mail-in and on-line options. If business can be handled without an in-person visit to Town Hall buildings, we recommend that these alternative be utilized. We recognize that people need to plan ahead but safety is our primary concern.  for Staff Directory click here ⇒ Directory   COVID-19 Numbers as of 11/30/2020 as it relates to the Town of Somers: Total number of residential cases 111, number of new cases 9. The Wetlands Agent aids the Conservation Commission in the administration of the Inland Wetlands and Watercourses Regulations of the Town of Somers.  In addition, the Agent serves in an advisory role to other land-use personnel on natural resource issues.  Under the Inland Wetland and Watercourses Regulations of the Town of Somers, the Conservation Commission reviews only those activities that are likely to alter or affect wetlands and watercourses.  The Wetland Enforcement Agent may approve minor activities that are close to wetlands and watercourses but are not expected to impact any resources.

This Department is aligned with the Conservation Commission
